The Rapture cover

The last Siouxsie and the Banshees studio album was caught somewhere between past and present in an interesting but also frustrating fashion — one of the band’s earliest inspirations, John Cale, produced most of the tracks, but the mid-1990s wasn’t the most hospitable for many of the 80s cult heroes. Yet The Rapture is a sometimes notably stirring final bow, with standouts including the punchy single “Stargazer” and the title track, remarkable for being the longest song the band ever formally recorded at nearly twelve minutes.
