The Radio One Sessions Volume One 1981-1983

An official selection of Associates Radio One sessions had appeared in 1994, but the new wave of interest in Billy Mackenzie in the early 2000s resulted in a welcome expansion into two volumes, covering four busy years in particular as the Associates appeared on a slew of shows. The first nine tracks feature the original lineup with Alan Rankine, including an initial version of the later era “Waiting For The Love Boat,” while the remaining songs feature efforts from a version of the group that would record Perhaps, including the beautiful rarity “This Flame.”
