McFadden & Whitehead

Bearing in mind both the quantity and quality of songs that writer/producer duo McFadden & Whitehead produced for Philadelphia International Records, it’s perhaps unsurprising that their debut album is full of great songs. Home to their biggest hit, the euphoric disco anthem ‘Aint No Stopping’ Us Now,’ the album is a string of up-and-midtempo funky soul with one ballad, all characterised by an opulent production and perfectly sculpted dance floor rhythms. A great late-period PIR album.
