Matter + Form

Released

Riding the waves of Futureperfect’s singles, in 2005 VNV Nation returned with their strongest full length overall since Empires, the shatteringly great Matter + Form. Their patented futurepop fusion of varying electronic influences, from synthpop’s heyday to industrial dance’s high points to trance’s sweep and punk’s rabblerousing, and more besides, found Ronan Harris and company’s efforts resulting in more band standards, notably the roaring crunch and clip of the opening “Chrome” and the exultant conclusion “Perpetual,” which became the group’s regular concert-ender for years.
