Bananimals

Released

After the delayed release of the original Starjob EP, the Frogs next surfaced with 1999’s Bananimals, very much continuing the random compilation of semi-folky/semi-rock home recordings vibe of much of their earlier efforts. Their near-flirtation with alt-rock success definitely had afterechoes in songs like the hilarious name-dropping on “Pay” and the title-says-it-all “Für Z Muzik Biz (10 Years to Waste),” while otherwise their exercises in, shall we say, certain subjects like “Golden Showers” and “Sailors Board Me Now” again run rampant.
