Why Call It Anything

When the Chameleons, for one last time, brought themselves together for reunion shows, fingers were crossed that they could follow it up with a strong album to match their earlier work, and the recruitment of Strange Times producer Dave Allen was a real sign they weren’t messing around. Why Call It Anything took time to settle in with the band’s rabid fanbase but it was a strong beauty at its best, with the sentiments and impact of “Dangerous Land” an absolute new classic, while Kwasi Asante’s guest toasting on “Miracles and Wonders” was a lovely surprise.
