A full box set covering Dead Can Dance’s time on 4AD appeared in 2001 while a US one disc compilation emerged in 2005 in the wake of their initial reunion tour. But the handiest overview of their first two decades might best be found with 2003’s Wake, a 2 CD effort that includes at least one track from every release on their first label, including two tracks from the key transitional EP Garden of the Arcane Delights. Also adding relative rarities like their 1981 demo of the song “Frontier” and “The Lotus Eaters,” taken from the earlier box set, Wake is a rich delight.
