Drummer Tyshawn Sorey and pianist Vijay Iyer have a musical relationship that goes back two decades. Here, they’re joined by bassist Linda May Han Oh for eight Iyer compositions, one by the late pianist Geri Allen, and a version of the standard “Night And Day.” All the music surges and pulses, swirling with life and barely contained righteous anger. They want your attention, and they earn it.
