The Fall Of Us All

Released

First impressions are often the strongest, and because The Fall Of Us All was my introduction to guitarist Steve Tibbetts, it remains a personal favorite. Then again, each of his albums breathes life into a new vessel, none less viable than the last. This is the most expansive sound of any Tibbetts record, as the polyrhythmic fires of “Dzogchen Punks” attest. It is also a curiously spiritual experience, even if no specific affiliation is made between this world and any other. One is left to fill in the metaphysical blanks with the sound of his steel, whether wired or unplugged.
