Zappa ex-pats try their hands at the dominant sound of the age, create one of the weirdest, wildest synthpop records ever synthetically popped. Dale Bozzio chirps and hiccups her words, husband Terry bounces along hexagonal drum pads to unknown destinations, the rest of the band takes a leisurely stroll through empty sidewalks in the City of Angels. Not much mental hopscotch required to love this.
