Solitary Universe

Given the number of collaborations that each had pursued over the years, it’s perhaps not a surprise that Japanese guitarist/ambient composer Chihei Hatakeyama and Italian guitarist and composer Eraldo Benocchi had the opportunity to work together on an album, and less so that the results were truly lovely. Solitary Universe finds both working in a perfect complementary space, their combination of treated guitars on pieces like “Those Glorious Days” and “The Mistakes Box” resulting in a delicate combination of serene, almost ghostly float.
