Released

Rooney produced their eponymous debut album in 2003, but it didn’t really take off until they snagged a cameo appearance on the TV show The O.C., playing several of its tracks. Other soundtrack and commercial song placements followed, and soon their sweet and crunchy power pop was making inroads. The songs on this album are pretty timeless; the swooning harmonies and heavy guitars on “Stay Away” and the singalong chorus on “I’m a Terrible Person” are particular highlights.
