Exercises in mesmeric repetition from two San Francisco psych freaks. Moon Duo recorded in Berlin for their second album, just like Bowie and Pop and numerous Krautrock bands before them. The influences (which also include Suicide) shine through. They still find their own little slice of Germany’s capital to call their own, though — these electronically bolstered transmissions come in the form of concise pop nuggets, even if the tones have a sharp edge to them. Bops like the title track and fuzz-laden “Fallout” make a strong case for their admittance to the upgraded section of the neopsych ward.
