A short, focused album like its predecessor, Limbs begins with the hushed power of “Fires,” her vocals and a buried organ-like swell the only elements. Small sonic shifts, which can include more electronic parts and even a brighter melody here and there as on “Land Animal,” make Limbs as distinctly powerful in its own right.
