Bend Sinister

Released

In a bit of a freefall (you see what I did there), the band lose their true ride or die drummer, Karl Burns, and get—don’t kill me—their most powerful drummer, Simon Wolstencroft. Their sound is as coherent as it ever got, as we still have the unbeatable Brix/Steve/Craig backline in order. Problem is, nobody was feeling that catchy or brave. Still— “Living Too Late” or “U.S. 80’s - 90’s” are as good as anything The Fall ever did. I worked at a place that played this during Sunday brunch and the German tourists always liked it. There is proper gated reverb on the snare, so it’s in the klassik eighties mold.
