Although I am on record right here on this site telling you I love hearing this band through a cellphone, I prefer hearing them recorded properly in a studio. (Aside from anything else, the bass player is a daredevil zig-zagger and shape genius, and WhatsApp cannot capture that.) This band keeps the ball in the air with pure playing and the wind of communal agreement. I don’t wish every band played like this but I do wish every band could so that when shows got boring (derogatory) you could push a little “Etran de L’Aïr” button and they’d be decent for a few minutes.
