A Letter from TreeTops

Released

Multi-instrumentalist Jesse Chandler has found the middle spot between the softest kosmische and the most childlike frequencies in Boards of Canada. After the death of his father, Chandler retreated and made this album quickly with synths, as well as flutes and clarinets (the “pneumatic tubes” in the band name). Like most albums on Ghost Box, the result is a form of nostalgia, perhaps for the resorts in the Catskills, where he grew up, and where coin-operated machines and turquoise swimming pools and carpeted hallways were the norm. No harm will come to you in the world of Pneumatic Tubes.
